Veľké Kosihy lies 22 kilometres west of Komárno on the Danube’s left bank. Its 24.4 km² area includes Malé Kosihy, Okánikovo and Arcibiskupský Lél.

A cycle route follows the Danube dyke, while three remarkable natural areas lie nearby. A 105-hectare reed bed, the Natura 2000 Mostové site and Danube floodplain forests protect distinctive habitats and wildlife.
